One month ago, on July 15, Escape Street welcomed its very first guests.
Today, August 15, we are celebrating our first month, and what an incredible month it has been.
In just 30 days, more than 2,000 guests have walked through our doors. We have hosted hundreds of games, shared countless laughs, celebrated victories, watched teams race against the clock, and, most importantly, received an overwhelming amount of support from the people of Edmonton.
And in only one month, Escape Street has received more than 600 five-star Google reviews.
For a new local business, these numbers mean a lot to us. But what matters even more are the people behind those numbers.
Every Game Reminds Us Why We Started
Escape Street wasn't built overnight.
Long before we opened our doors, there were months of planning, designing, building, testing, changing, improving, and sometimes starting over.
We wanted to create something more than just rooms filled with locks and puzzles.
We wanted to create experiences.
Experiences where friends laugh together. Families work as a team. Coworkers discover a completely different side of each other. And for an hour, everyone can step away from everyday life and become part of another world.
During the long months of preparation, we constantly asked ourselves the same question:
Will people enjoy what we are creating as much as we hope they will?
Over the past 30 days, Edmonton has answered that question for us.
The smiles after the games, the excitement while taking photos, the conversations with our guests, the people telling us which moments surprised them the most, and the wonderful comments we hear after almost every game have made all those months of hard work worthwhile.

When we opened on July 15, we didn't know exactly what our first month would look like.
What happened exceeded our expectations.
In only 30 days:
